Glovo: attracting tech talent videos
Barcelona is one of the most attractive cities to work in and one of Europe’s top startup hubs. Around 30% of all digital talent in Barcelona comes from abroad, but attracting the very best candidates is no easy task!
When Glovo, the successful start-up in Barcelona, asked us to help them bring in tech talent from around the world, we teamed up with their marketing and human resources department to make a series of testimonial videos. In these filmed interviews international employees explain why they came to work at Glovo and how the experience has been for them.
The main requisite for these audiovisual clips was to show professionals in their real workplace and to capture office dynamics. At the same time, we were aware of Barcelona itself as a major persuasive factor. Filming employees engaged in leisure activities provided the crucial lifestyle element and at the same time allowed for a much richer visual experience.
Glovo is transforming the way consumers access local goods, enabling anyone to get almost any product delivered in minutes. Its on-demand logistics connect customers with independent local couriers who acquire goods from any restaurant or store in a city, as well as deliver urgent packages for a variable fee.
The company has more than 1,200 employees on board and is growing rapidly. It is currently present in more than 20 countries across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Adnane Ouahabi is an engineering manager at Glovo. Heading up the dispatching department, Adnane and his team strive to improve time efficiency for the customers, couriers, and partner stores. The team leverages machine learning and operations research techniques to build services that make smart dispatching decisions and maximise courier productivity.
Mònica Castel is one of the UX/UI designers at Glovo. She works with her team to design and improve the webapp user interface so as to make it as customer friendly as possible.
